Midwifery Assistant Role Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our maternity team as Midwifery Assistants.

About the Opportunity

This role provides a fantastic opportunity for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Midwifery to gain hands-on experience in a supportive clinical environment. You will work under the supervision of registered midwives to provide high-quality, woman-centered care across antenatal, birthing, and postnatal settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Registered Midwife with planning, provision, and documentation of patient care.
  • Work within the framework of policies of local health districts, the Ministry of Health, and NSW legislative and statutory requirements.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have current enrollment in and successful completion of at least 2 semesters of a Bachelor of Midwifery with a satisfactory academic record and completion of at least 2 clinical placements.
