Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced maintenance technician to join our production team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and mechanically inclined individual to work in a state-of-the-art production facility equipped with advanced machinery, including egg packing and grading systems, carton packing and palletising robotics, as well as automation and process control equipment.

  • Proactively maintain production equipment and facilities to ensure they meet production targets and output requirements.
  • Complete start-up and shut-down operations, and provide day-to-day production support.
  • Participate in the planned maintenance program using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Uphold a high standard of safety and safe working practices across all work areas.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team while working in rotating shift patterns, including weekends.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical fitting or a related field.
  • Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to proactively plan and manage workload.
  • Solid physical capability.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, with a willingness to work cooperatively and efficiently with all departments on the production floor.
  • Willingness to assist contractors when necessary.
  • Accountability for completed work.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work additional hours due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in relevant training to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and procedures.
