About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations at our Oakey branch. In this hands-on Production Supervisor role, you'll play a key part in coordinating and executing production activities to ensure targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and operational efficiency is maintained. Working closely with the production team, you'll be responsible for the safe and effective operation of mill equipment, helping to ensure the timely processing and delivery of high-quality feed products. This is a vital role in driving both performance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Your key responsibilities:

• Adhere to Riverina's policies and procedures, including WHS Management System, Quality Assurance Programme, GMP, and HACCP Food Safety System.
• Assist and monitor the daily production schedule in line with operational goals and quality standards.
• Ability to plan and coordinate logistics to ensure efficient operations.
• Manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements efficiently.
• Conduct regular quality checks on commodities and finished goods, ensuring compliance with predetermined standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the production team and other departments to streamline operations, resolve customer issues and maintain inventory levels effectively.
• Provide guidance, training and support to the production team, fostering a positive and safe work environment.
• Handle customer interactions with professionalism
• Monitor and report on equipment maintenance needs to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Supervise the receival of raw materials, ensuring adherence to quality and safety compliance and report discrepancies to the Production Manager.

What we're looking for:

• Experienced forklift operator with a valid forklift licence (highly desirable).
• Ability to prioritise workload
• HACCP and FeedSafe knowledge high regarded.
• Strong commitment to safety and fostering a safety-first culture.
• Strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Sound understanding of quality control principles and processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mill equipment operation/maintenance (an advantage).
