Job Title: Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our Occupational Rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

About the Role:

This diverse role offers the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with the support of a strong and close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals. You will work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management, including manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
  • Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assisting individuals with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy;
  • Registration with either AHPRA or ESSA, plus SIRA Accreditation;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role;
  • Well-developed time management skills are a must, as is a current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
