Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with physical and psychological injuries to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

About the Role

In this diverse and challenging role, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, including those with physical and psychological injuries, to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans. You will work closely with employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure that clients receive the best possible support and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans;
  • Work with clients to set and achieve goals, and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process;
  • Collaborate with employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure that clients receive the best possible support and care;
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment;
  • Provide education and training to clients, employers, and other stakeholders on occupational rehabilitation and return to work strategies.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling;
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC);
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, employers, and other stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients.
