Job Opportunity for Lecturer in Nursing

The Faculty of Health at Deakin University is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead unit teaching teams and collaborate with other units to develop effective curricula and learning resources.
  • Contribute to the review of units and courses, implementing refinements as needed.
  • Apply industry, clinical, and research practice into student learning experiences, ensuring engagement and success.
  • Adopt innovative curriculum design and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices.
  • Support and lead applications for research and creative activities, including external funding opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health and mental health nursing experience.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching, including innovative curriculum design.
  • Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding.

Eligibility:

  • Currently be a sessional academic at Deakin or have been previously engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within the last two years of the advertising date.
