Leadership Opportunity in Education

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director to play a key role in the success of our Singleton Centre.

The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with the leadership team, possess initiative, maturity, and leadership skills required to build a team and service in a growing community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

To succeed in this role, you will need to:

  • Assist and support the Director in management tasks
  • Lead educators towards quality performance in all aspects
  • Responsible for the operation and management of the centre in the absence of the Director

You will be responsible for ensuring that our centre provides high-quality education and care to children, while also maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

To achieve this, you will need to:

  • Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training
  • Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support the Early Learning Years Framework with the centre curriculum

Please note that you must have:

  • Diploma in Children's Services or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching as identified by Australian Children's Education and Care Authority
  • Working With Children Check verification number
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
  • DEC approved child protection training certificate
