Job Title

Special Needs Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Needs Education Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will assist in the education programs and promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting students with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and have experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of planned education programs to support student growth, both academically and socially.
  • Work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students.
  • Support student independence through planned and explicit approaches to self-management and self-regulation skills.
  • Develop, monitor and review student programs and plans in collaboration with teachers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated good organisational skills that will assist in the delivery and development of effective education programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
