Senior Associate, Commercial Disputes & Insolvency

This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals who navigate complex legal frameworks related to corporate and debt restructuring, banking enforcement, insolvency and commercial disputes.

As a Senior Associate, you will be an integral part of this team, working closely with financial institutions, businesses facing financial distress, insolvency experts and stakeholders involved in restructuring efforts, insolvency engagements and disputes. Your expertise will be crucial in advising clients on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, strategic decision-making, distressed situations and complex disputes.

You will have the opportunity to negotiate and draft agreements tailored to restructuring and recovery strategies, and provide critical legal counsel on insolvency-related contentious and non-contentious matters and run commercial disputes. Additionally, you will be involved in regulatory discussions, dispute resolution, litigation, and enforcement action.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and draft agreements tailored to restructuring and recovery strategies;
  • Provide critical legal counsel on insolvency-related contentious and non-contentious matters;
  • Run commercial disputes;
  • Be involved in regulatory discussions, dispute resolution, litigation, and enforcement action.

Requirements:

  • Between 5-7 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Strong working knowledge of financing and security documents, security reviews (in particular advice in respect of secured creditors' rights and receivership work) and enforcement, insolvency, disputes and banking and commercial litigation;
  • Dedicated, proactive and analytical mindset, sharp attention to detail, and commercial acumen to identify and assess legal risks and devise innovative solutions for a range of clients undergoing financial restructuring involved in insolvency processes and disputes.
