Fortescue is seeking an experienced HV Electrician Supervisor to oversee high-voltage electrical maintenance activities on our Heavy Mobile Equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring Fortescue, contractor, and subcontractor personnel adhere to all HSE and electrical compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical Maintenance Oversight - Ensure electrical maintenance systems for HME are in line with Fortescue and OEM standards.
  • Safety Champion - Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring HSE standards are met across all high-voltage maintenance activities.
  • Maintenance Team Guidance - Provide guidance to maintenance teams, ensuring qualifications and competencies are current, including site VOCs.
  • Initiative Lead - Lead initiatives to improve machine availability and optimise electrical maintenance strategies.
  • Incident Management - Oversee incident and hazard management within BMS.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a HV Electrical Supervisor or similar leadership role within mobile maintenance.
  • Relevant HV Electrical Trade Qualification and certification.
  • Proven experience as an HV Electrician in the automotive or heavy equipment industry, with a focus on electric vehicles, particularly Komatsu machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and components (inverters, converters, motors, and batteries).
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and protocols for high-voltage systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • HV switching certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP for operational and reporting tasks.
