About the Opportunity

Fortescue is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team at the Christmas Creek mine, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Job Summary

This role represents a fantastic opportunity to leverage your people leadership skills and technical knowledge to deliver best practices in maintenance outcomes while fostering an inclusive and supportive culture to positively develop your team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Safety Culture: Drive a strong electrical safety culture across site through effective leadership and influence over key stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop and coach supervisors, coordinators, tradespeople and apprentices to achieve optimal team performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by supporting the team in the implementation of improvement initiatives and technical advances.
  • Budget Management: Develop and control approved budgets to deliver cost-effective services that meet business needs while ensuring compliance with relevant statutory legislation.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • Current WA 'A' class electrical workers licence and Nominees ticket.
  • High voltage ticket and experience with HV Switching highly regarded.
  • Proven experience at a superintendent level, preferably within an iron ore processing environment.
  • Able to display good understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements of the electrical trade in a mining environment.
  • Understanding of PLC, Instrumentation and control communication systems and Variable Speed Drives.
  • Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems.
  • Demonstrated competency in use of SAP.
