About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer and Consultant to join our team at NCS Australia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and helping our clients get the most from their technology landscape.

You will leverage your problem-solving skills to help clients build and modernise their applications, while also shaping requirements, designing and deploying solutions, and setting up effective engineering and quality practices.

Beyond your technical expertise, you will also provide valuable advice to clients on how to upskill their teams and achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS and Google Cloud Platform
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure orchestration tools using SaltStack and Terraform
  • Implement containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Configure and manage configuration management tools like Puppet and Chef
  • Use version control systems like Git and continuous integration and delivery tools like Jenkins and Bamboo
  • Develop automation scripts using programming languages like Python and Bash
  • Administer Linux/Unix systems and ensure security best practices are followed
