Community Safety and Reintegration Officer

This is an ongoing, full-time role based in Warrnambool.
- Help contribute to community safety by applying expert risk assessment practices.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Provide timely, high-quality advice to stakeholders.
- Undertake an effective assessment of an individual's risk to community safety.
- Effectively manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines.
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community supports.
As a Crime Prevention and Reintegration Specialist, you will support the operation of the Court Assessment and Prosecutions Service and apply relevant work practices. This includes conducting initial assessments, variations or prosecution against an individual's court order.
Please note some travel may be required across the South West region as part of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent crime and promote community reintegration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services to offenders.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.
- Provide regular progress updates and adapt plans as necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience in crime prevention, offender rehabilitation, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
