About This Role

Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officers support the operation of the Court Assessment and Prosecutions Service and apply relevant work practices. This includes conducting initial assessments, variations or prosecution against an individual's court order. Some travel may be required across the South West region.

Overview

Ongoing, full-time role based in Warrnambool. Salary band of $89,292 - $96,073 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, high quality, evidence-based advice to stakeholders
  • Undertake an effective assessment of an individual's risk to community safety
  • Effectively manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours
  • Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines
About You
  • Experience or knowledge of court processes and prosecutions
  • Demonstrated ability to provide human services in needs assessments and development of interventions
  • Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion
  • Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements

Pre-employment checks may include reference checks, national police checks and misconduct screening. Other checks may include VicRoads checks, driver's licence checks, medical checks, Working with Children Checks, and Declaration of Private Interests (for executive and responsible officer roles).
