We're seeking an exceptional Design and Construction Lead to spearhead our workplace projects globally. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for shaping office spaces that inspire and enable our staff to deliver value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide design direction and set standards for office spaces across different locations and scales.
  • Oversight of workplace technology integration and continuous improvement.
  • Effective budget management and tracking of global project budgets.
  • Development of workplace quality standards.
  • Support for project and site due diligence, including real estate transactions.
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication of project updates.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders and globally distributed teams.
  • Maintenance of strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Global support and travel.
  • Promotion of Xero values.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in workplace design, construction, and project management.
  • Proven delivery of full-range workplace projects from small offices to globally scaled upgrades.
  • Experience in managing global projects across time zones with the support of local teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at every level of the organization.
  • Contract management skills to ensure service level agreements are maintained.

As a seasoned professional in workplace design and construction, you'll possess a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and leadership skills. You'll be able to frame design problems, gather stakeholder feedback, and use data to inform decisions. Your strong presentation skills will be essential in gaining consensus and communicating effectively with various teams.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a larger global team. You'll need to have a deep understanding of workplace trends and be able to apply your knowledge to drive successful outcomes.
