Deputy Principal - Secondary Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Christian leader to fill the role of Deputy Principal – Secondary. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in secondary education and be committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic Christian leader with experience in strategic planning, instructional leadership, and pastoral care.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative leader who can build strong relationships and provide effective communication.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment, as well as experience in leading and managing teams of educators. They will also have a strong commitment to student wellbeing and support, and be able to develop and implement effective pastoral care programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide instructional and pastoral leadership to create engaging learning environments.
  • To collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and other relevant school leaders to create and implement effective school policies.
  • To manage and mentor secondary staff, fostering a positive and professional working culture.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in secondary education leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of current educational trends, policies, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to improve student outcomes.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in developing and implementing up-to-date programs to support student well-being and growth.
  • Expertise in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.
  • Ability to provide professional development and mentoring to teachers.
