This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Carer Coach, where you will empower carers to achieve their goals and make a lasting impact in the community.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering one-on-one and group coaching sessions to help carers build resilience, agency, and hope. You will support carers to explore their goals, reflect on their journey, and take practical steps towards wellbeing through a non-therapeutic, strengths-based approach.
You will work with carers to identify their needs and develop tailored plans to support them. This may include topics such as health and wellbeing, inclusion and advocacy, work, study, and volunteering, everyday life and finances, and understanding the caring journey.
We are seeking someone who thrives in a reforming space and embraces change with confidence and flexibility. You will bring experience in community services, allied health, or peer support, along with strong communication skills, emotional maturity, and a trauma-informed approach.
Your ability to empower carers through active listening and smart goal setting will be essential. A commitment to inclusion, self-reflection, and continuous learning will also be crucial for success in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Diploma in Coaching, Counselling, Community Services, or related field
- Right to work in Australia
- Current valid driver's licence and ability to undertake some travel
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course)
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children's Check (Employee/Paid)
