Our Opportunity

This role will be based across Fortescue's Western Hub, supporting our Belt Technician team across the Solomon and Eliwana mines. We are seeking a motivated Supervisor to lead and support our team, reporting to the Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the belt crew, maintaining a high focus on safety and displaying core values
  • Shutdown preparation, execution and supervision of shutdown belt teams, including breakdown response and steel cord & fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs
  • Provide on-job support and coaching to personnel, including hazard identification and rectification
  • Carry out conveyor system maintenance, including computer maintenance management systems (SAP, PDS)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work under pressure, with a Level 3 Belt Splicing Qualification or equivalent
  • Significant experience in large scale conveyor change outs, set up and execution, as well as shutdown environments and fixed plant continuous processing plants
  • Good verbal, written and computer skills, alongside sound problem solving and analytical skills
