The Regulatory Intelligence Leadership position oversees the development, coordination and provision of high-quality intelligence and analysis to inform strategic planning and operations.
- Provide leadership in effectively managing a team consistent with statutory responsibilities and the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Lead and coordinate the successful development of regulatory intelligence capabilities and products to support regulatory activity.
- Provide high-level intelligence analysis on complex issues and identify opportunities, solutions and strategies to address contentious issues.
- Establish effective communication systems, both internal and external to the Commission, to ensure stakeholders are consulted and informed.
- Deliver briefings and documentation to clearly communicate findings of analysis to influence decision making.
- Represent the Commission at meetings and forums to provide expert intelligence and advice on key regulatory issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Strong experience in engaging with stakeholders on difficult issues.
- Excellent research, conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, including self-management of competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including quality assurance.
- Flexibility to work independently and with geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong data and regulatory intelligence literacy and reporting skills.
- Understanding of the role of data and information by modern regulatory agencies.
- Ability to manage and develop a team, including data specialist staff.
