About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support to our Independent Patient Rights Advisers, performing duties as an adviser by advising consumers and their nominated support persons, family, carers and other support persons of their rights under the Mental Health Act 2016.
The successful candidate will act independently and impartially, ensuring the independence of the roles by being employed under Clinical Governance, Risk and Legal. They will report operationally to the Director Clinical Governance, Metro South Health, Clinical Governance, Risk and Legal, and work collaboratively with the Statewide Coordinator, Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch, Queensland Health, and other Independent Patient Rights Advisers across Queensland.
The role has operational responsibility for approximately 3.8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) positions. The candidate will have delegations in accordance with the Financial Sub-Delegations Manual and Human Resource Sub-Delegations Manual.
