Job Description

As a Personal Care Worker at our Crows Nest Residential Aged Care facility, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.

You will also be involved in delivering meals and engaging in meaningful social interactions to promote emotional well-being. Our team is dedicated to enriching the lives of others, and we are seeking an individual who shares our commitment to compassion and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with personal care tasks in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Supporting residents with mobility and transfers, promoting their independence.
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to the nursing team.
  • Participating in recreational activities and social events to enhance residents' quality of life.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (Qualified Applicants).
  • Completion of HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication unit of competency and experience assisting with medication.
  • Experience in aged care or a genuine passion for working with the elderly.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to providing care.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Understanding of and commitment to maintaining residents' rights and privacy.
