We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Head of Faculty - Science at Saint Stephen's College. As a key member of our middle leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued success and innovation of our Science programs.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff to develop and implement student-centred academic programs that cater to a diverse range of students, ensuring the best learning outcomes for all.
- Compliance and Data Analysis: Lead the compliance requirements for the department, including storage of scope and sequences, programs, registers, assessment tasks, marks, and sample student work.
- Student Support and Feedback: Support the Dean of Teaching and Learning in analysis and interpretation of academic data to improve student learning and for formal student reporting processes.
- Faculty Development and Support: Collaborate with the Dean of Teaching and Learning and Dean of Operations and Staff Development to plan and deliver and manage all aspects of excursions, classes, staffing and timetabling requests, departmental resources, and absentees.
- Assessment and Reporting: Adhere to all security protocols for internal and external assessments and monitor timelines for reporting to ensure all teachers within the department meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: Liaise across the College and use highly developed interpersonal skills to influence and guide others in enhancing and developing the faculty and its people.
- Qualifications and Registration: Formal qualifications in Education and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Leadership and Professionalism: A proactive and professional approach that demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and a high level of motivation.
- Confidentiality and Relationships: Understanding of the need for confidentiality and the sensitivity of information while maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Understanding of the dynamics of leadership, along with a committed and professional approach to leading others.
