Dean of Indigenous Research and Innovation

The University seeks an exceptional leader to drive the development and delivery of culturally safe, world-class research strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to embed Indigenous knowledge and priorities across the University's research landscape.

The Dean will guide the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Strategy, fostering innovative research partnerships and strengthening the visibility of Indigenous scholarship across all disciplines. They will also drive the recruitment, development, and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers, ensuring pathways for academic excellence are nurtured and sustained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver culturally safe, world-class Indigenous research strategies
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to embed Indigenous knowledge and priorities
  • Guide the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Strategy
  • Drive recruitment, development, and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers
  • Foster connections among University researchers and uplift Indigenous research
