BlackRock's Fundamental Fixed Income (FFI) business is a leading global fixed income manager, with over $1 trillion in assets under management. We are seeking a highly skilled Director-level credit research analyst to join our team in APAC, focusing on Securitised markets and Asset-Based Financing Opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive credit and cashflow analysis across the full capital structure of APAC Securitised transactions, including RMBS, ABS, and other sub-sectors.
  • Undertake analysis for both primary and secondary opportunities, considering relative value and potential alpha generation.
  • Analyse and review transaction documentation, underwriting, and servicing of transaction originators and servicers.
  • Participate in dealer roadshows and onsite due diligence, communicating with transaction parties, including arrangers and originators.
  • Provide high-quality credit opinions to the European ABS team and analytical support for regular updates to clients on positions.
  • Assess ESG factors of transactions and apply BlackRock's PEXT/NEXT framework.
  • Track issuer, asset class, and industry trends.
Key Qualifications
  • Considerable in-depth experience in the analysis of Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities.
  • Experience with other asset classes is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the UK/European and APAC Securitised markets and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for presenting credit opinions internally and communicating with clients and other market participants.
  • Solid understanding of reviewing legal documents from a credit risk perspective.
  • A strong work ethic with a team-focused approach.
  • Comfortable working within a disciplined investment process using both quantitative and qualitative tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and develop internal and external networks.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with advanced Excel and Intex knowledge.
  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a quantitative subject.
