About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in advancing our commitment to Reconciliation and cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), working closely with our National Manager Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver presentations to staff on Reconciliation, cultural safety, and related matters
  • Collaborate with communications teams to promote Reconciliation and Cultural Safety to staff and provide key updates
  • Support the planning and implementation of events across the organisation, including National Reconciliation Week and National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week
  • Implement the cultural safety framework and promote a culturally safe workplace
  • Work with housing and community services to improve cultural safety for clients and tenants
Requirements for Success
  • Significant engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people or communities
  • Experience in project and stakeholder management is highly desirable
  • Strong cultural competency
  • Ability to work independently while managing a diverse workload
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
