Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our Australian Energy & Utilities equities research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting valuation analysis, converting industry knowledge into understandable investment opinions, building and maintaining financial models, and providing investment recommendations based on modelling, valuation and risk assessments.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a sell-side research role, accounting, consulting practice or energy/utilities company. They will be confident in reviewing and interpreting annual reports and financial statements, and adept at both verbal and written communication of fundamental views in an articulate and confident manner.

About the Role
  • Conduct valuation analysis focusing on the power, renewables, oil and gas sectors
  • Convert industry knowledge into understandable investment opinions
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate historical information and generate projections
  • Provide investment recommendations based on modelling, valuation and risk assessments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in a sell-side research role, accounting, consulting practice or energy/utilities company
  • Successfully built and maintained financial valuation models
  • Confident ability to review and interpret annual reports and financial statements
  • Adept at both verbal and written communication of fundamental views in an articulate and confident manner
