About the Role:

This critical position involves working closely with Village Operations to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and customer expectations—ultimately safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive food safety and hygiene training programs for site teams
  • Support catering and site managers in applying food safety requirements and protocols
  • Promote awareness and escalate food safety issues across all levels of the organization
  • Monitor compliance to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements
  • Provide expert advice on food safety matters and best practices
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date food safety documentation and training materials
  • Conduct internal audits and support third-party inspections to ensure compliance
  • Lead assurance activities and food safety investigations to identify and address potential risks
  • Perform microbiological sampling and testing to ensure food safety standards are met
  • Report on system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in hospitality, food safety, or quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of microbiology, food safety controls, and relevant legislation
  • Experience with HACCP / ISO 22000 and internal audits is highly desirable
