Maintenance Professional

This is a permanent part-time opportunity at a residential aged care facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine repairs, minor installations, and general upkeep tasks to keep the facility in top condition.
  • Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, fertilising, pruning, and removing garden waste.
  • Follow a scheduled maintenance plan to address potential issues before they become problems.
  • Assist external contractors when they visit the site and oversee Maintenance Workers or volunteers as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records using the organisation's asset management system and ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
Requirements

To be suitable for the position, you should have:

  • Experience in a maintenance or handyman role (minimum 12 months).
  • Basic computer skills and ability to manage work priorities.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety (or willingness to learn).
  • Influenza Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable qualifications include experience in aged care, community services, or facility maintenance.
