Job Overview

The Psychological Program Lead – Injury Treatment Expert plays a pivotal role in supporting patients throughout our primary psychological program, from referral to discharge.

This key position involves identifying and addressing psychosocial barriers while patients undergo assessments with Clinical Psychologists and participate in targeted therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong rapport with patients to foster trust and cooperation
  • Liaising closely with psychologists and therapists to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Effective communication with referrers to provide timely updates and feedback

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree level in Allied Health (Rehabilitation Counselling, Counselling, Social Work, Psychology)
  • Experience in counselling (CBT, trauma, SFBT) with a proven track record of success
  • Membership or registration with appropriate bodies (Australian Counselling Association Level 3 or Clinical Member of PACFA or Australian Psychological Society)
  • SIRA membership for NSW workers compensation
  • Excellent telephone manner, active listening skills, and strong interpersonal skills
