Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Tailings Engineer to join our team, responsible for developing designs for tailings storage facilities and other earth structures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in geotechnical or civil engineering, with experience in tailings storage facility design and operation.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking site inspections, supervising geotechnical investigations, and coordinating client-contractor requests. They will also develop project plans, prepare technical deliverables, and work closely with other professionals in project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing designs for tailings storage facilities and other earth structures
  • Undertaking site inspections and supervising geotechnical investigations
  • Project planning, preparation of technical deliverables, and coordination of client-contractor requests
  • Working with other professionals in project teams and offices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
  • 3-5 years' experience working on tailings/mine waste related projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office, slope stability programs (e.g., GeoStudio and/or RocScience)
  • Familiarity with gINT, FLAC or PLAXIS and other latest geotechnical design software
