
Renal, General, and Acute Care Specialist

We are seeking a Physician to provide specialist care in Renal, General, and Acute Care settings across hospital-based and remote community environments.
This is a fixed-term position for 5 years with opportunities for professional development, relocation assistance, private practice, and remote area allowances.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or an equivalent qualification in Renal and General Medicine.
- Demonstrated interest in improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Ongoing participation in continuing education, clinical teaching, research, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Cultural competence in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient and ambulatory care at the hospital and surrounding communities.
- Participate in a flexible roster including inpatient ward coverage, outpatient clinics, remote outreach, and shared after-hours on-call responsibility.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, including RACP Basic Trainees, Rural Generalist Trainees, and Interns.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and engage in teaching, simulation-based education, and professional development activities.
