Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for fabricating and installing new components and parts onto the chassis of commercial vehicles using welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the vehicle's damage to determine how to perform the restoration work
  • Maintain the chassis crush properly and use it appropriately
  • Treat company equipment with respect, just as you would your own tools
  • Advise the Parts Interpreter of any additional parts required that were not originally quoted on the estimate
  • Coordinate with other workers in the workshop to ensure workflow is appropriately placed
  • Notify of any product shortages that would restrict production
  • Check the schedule daily to ensure time-frames are met
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in fabrication or a related field
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • The ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in the usage and maintenance of tools
  • An overall aptitude for technical activities
