
Chief Perioperative Nursing Officer

We are seeking a seasoned and driven perioperative nurse to lead our anaesthetics and recovery team. This pivotal leadership role requires maintaining clinical excellence, driving staff performance, managing resources, and achieving positive patient outcomes within the perioperative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical and operational leadership to the anaesthetics and recovery teams.
- Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure effective clinical governance and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to staff education through orientation, graduate support, and in-service training.
- Partner with perioperative and hospital leadership to achieve strategic and operational goals.
You are an experienced perioperative nurse with strong clinical expertise and a passion for leadership. You may already hold management experience or be ready to step into a senior leadership role and make your mark in a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Essential Criteria:- Current registration with the relevant health authority.
- Minimum 5 years' postgraduate experience in an acute care environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in anaesthetics and/or recovery nursing.
- Proven ability to supervise, lead, and motivate staff.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty or leadership/management.
- Previous leadership experience within a perioperative environment.
- Membership of a relevant professional organisation.
