
Lead Nurse in Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our busy surgical ward, focusing on providing exceptional care to patients within Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery specialties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-quality clinical care plans for patients undergoing orthopaedic and neurological procedures.
- Mentor, support, and supervise junior nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive service improvement initiatives and enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance.
- Liaise effectively with Visiting Medical Officers and allied health professionals to achieve optimal patient care.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong foundation in acute surgical care, particularly in Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a perioperative or surgical ward setting is essential, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a perioperative or surgical ward setting, with a focus on Orthopaedics and/or Neurosurgery.
- Strong clinical decision-making, mentoring, and leadership abilities.
