Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Design Manager to lead our design team and oversee the production of construction documentation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing consultants, coordinating the documentation process, running design meetings, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and manage consultants to produce high-quality construction documents
  • Coordinate the documentation process with consultants, ensuring timely completion and effective communication
  • Lead design meetings to facilitate collaboration and decision-making among stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues raised by consultants in a timely and professional manner
  • Hand over completed documentation to the construction team and provide support during construction as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design and construction process

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a design management role, preferably in the commercial construction industry
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, with experience working on large-scale construction projects valued at $30M+
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
