Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distinguished Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team at Black & Veatch. This role will involve leading complex engineering projects, overseeing teams of engineers, and providing technical guidance and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers on high-profile projects, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop and implement advanced engineering solutions to complex problems, leveraging your expertise in mechanical engineering principles and design standards.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify key client interests and drivers, developing tailored approaches to meet their needs.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and innovation within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 11 years of experience in water or wastewater project management in Australia.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Victoria or Queensland.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct high-performing teams.
  • Experience with project management tools and software, including budgeting and scheduling.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $170,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
