Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our team on a major project in the Illawarra/Wollongong region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health and safety support and guidance to all stakeholders, managing health and safety risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

The role offers a range of complex challenges associated with various implementation and continuous improvement initiatives within a stimulating landscape. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies that drive a proactive health and safety culture, support the site in appropriately managing all health and safety risks, and ensure site compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Risk or equivalent, experience with Health and Safety management systems and relevant legislation, and heavy industry experience such as construction and commissioning. You will also have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including colleagues, regulators, and government officials.

  • Provide continued health and safety support and guidance to all stakeholders
  • Support the site in appropriately managing all health and safety risks
  • Ensure site compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies that aid in the driving of a proactive health and safety culture

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in H&S, Risk or equivalent
  • Heavy industry experience such as construction & commissioning
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including colleagues, regulators, and government officials
