Job Title

About the Role
  • As an Animal Management Officer, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and operational advice to ensure the team's success.
  • You will assist in the implementation and administration of council policies, domestic animal management plans, and state legislation related to animal and local law compliance.
  • Your key responsibilities will include contributing to various activities in animal management, providing subject matter advice, coordinating investigations, and assisting senior roles in managing escalated complaints.

Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in Government Investigations/Animal Regulation or substantial professional experience in Animal Management within the local government context.
  • A well-developed planning and time management ability, as well as highly developed knowledge of legislation, regulations, and codes of practice relevant to Animal Management.
  • Proficiency in the operational application of legislation, conducting investigations, and rules of evidence.
  • Demonstrated people leadership capability in a dynamic, regulatory operational environment.
