We are seeking an experienced and skilled Asset Systems and Planning Manager to join our team at Hawkesbury City Council. As a key member of our Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Asset Systems and Planning Branch, ensuring the effective management of our $1.6 billion infrastructure asset portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Asset Systems and Planning Branch
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee the development and implementation of asset management plans and budgets
  • Lead and manage high-performing teams to deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and engagement
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, or relevant technical discipline
  • Professional Engineer's Registration, or eligibility to obtain
  • Work Cover WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (white card)
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Extensive asset management experience
  • Well-developed leadership experience
  • Previous managerial experience in Local Government
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local government infrastructure asset management processes, procedures, and practices
  • Experience in project management and system implementation
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in development and implementation of strategies, guidelines, policies, and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Extensive financial management experience, including budget controls, estimations, resource planning, and project management
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality documentation, including reports, strategic documents, policies, procedures, and correspondence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
