Support Specialist

We are seeking experienced Support Specialists to join our team in Bendigo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct assistance with daily living activities, such as personal care and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in building life skills and engaging in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Foster a respectful environment where participants feel valued and encouraged to make choices about their lives.
  • Collaborate with families and team members to ensure holistic care and effective communication.
  • Document services provided, including progress notes and health records.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous experience in disability support is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and participant needs.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
