ENT Registrar Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ENT registrar to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care to adults and children in the fields of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and head and neck surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in surgeries in the operating theatre alongside visiting medical officers (VMOs)
  • Review patients in wards, emergency department, and ICU under supervision
  • Conduct pre- and post-operative inpatient reviews at the request of the VMO
  • Participate in ENT department meetings and clinical teaching

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current Medical Practitioner AHPRA Registration (General Registration)
  • MBBS and eligible for AHPRA Registration
  • Experience in a similar role within public or private healthcare
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and training requirements for junior doctors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Internet applications
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with authorities and staff
  • PGY3 or higher
  • Current Advanced Life Support certification
  • Ability to identify and respond to deteriorating patients
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Flexibility, organizational skills, and technical proficiency in procedures like central venous access
