About the Role

The ACT Government is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join the Jervis Bay School leadership team. As a key member of the school community, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice to the Principal on school business operations and ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day and strategic operations of the school business, including financial and facilities management, human resources, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and implement procedures and work practices to improve service delivery and student outcomes.
  • Manage and supervise support and administration staff to meet business objectives and priorities.

Requirements

  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration prior to commencement.
  • Asbestos awareness card or willingness to obtain.
  • Qualification or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Xero and Sentral systems, office practices, and Microsoft Office packages.
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.
  • Commitment to cultural integrity and cultural competency.
