About the Role:
The ILO Practitioner role is responsible for achieving the outcomes of UC's Independent Living Options program by ensuring that participants are provided with a safe, secure and home environment that aligns with the participants identified goals.
This is a full-time permanent position where you will work with the participant and the host contractor to ensure that participant needs and goals are met by utilising a person-centred approach; maintaining a safe and successful arrangement; ensuring all NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Compliance requirements and the NDIS Code of Conduct are adhered to.
You will provide support to and oversight of the ILO Coordinator roles. You will also be responsible for the monitoring, reporting and minimisation/elimination of Restrictive Practices.

What Will You Be Doing?
- Provide training, support and supervision to staff and contractors on positive behaviour support and restrictive practices.
- Support mechanisms for the proactive identification of any restrictive practices and the ongoing education and support of staff.
- Provide ongoing monitoring of, and support to, contractors providing ILO arrangements to ensure contractor obligations are met, documentation is up-to-date and concerns are handled in a proactive manner.
- Undertake regular home visits and reviews with participants to ensure that participants are receiving high-quality care and support that is meeting their identified goals.
About You:
Together with qualifications, the successful applicant will have experience working with people with a disability and an excellent understanding of the NDIS and Quality and Safeguarding standards.
The successful applicant will have a strong human rights perspective and high ethical standards regarding best practice in the use of restrictive practices.
You will also have strong communication, customer service and relationship management skills.
Experience working within disability accommodation services is highly desirable.
