Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engagement Officer to join our team at the APS5 level. The successful candidate will work amongst a team responsible for strategy and support, stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and media.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support divisional stakeholders, communications, and culture functions
  • Provide expert advice and administrative support to the team
  • Lead and assist with procurement processes
  • Manage team finance arrangements and invoicing
  • Support implementation of business systems
  • Contribute to coordination of communications and engagement activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Good problem-solving skills with ability to progress work with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated experience in government procurement, contract management, and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a government department
