Strategic Stakeholder Expert Opportunity

Based in Canberra, this role offers flexible working and a permanent position with opportunities to foster collaboration, align objectives, and influence policy.

**About This Role**

This position involves leading strategic engagement with government stakeholders to align objectives and enhance decision-making.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with senior government officials, including within the Department of Defence, and support executive decision-making, providing strategic insights and leading engagement efforts.

Exceptional communication is a must, and you will demonstrate:

As a key representative, you will champion Airservices' strategic priorities and engage with others across the organisation to ensure alignment and consistency.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with senior government officials to align objectives and enhance decision-making.
- Lead strategic engagement with the Department of Defence, preparing executive briefings, supporting key committees, and overseeing secretariat responsibilities.
- Orchestrate cross-functional efforts to drive a holistic, strategy-led approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Deliver actionable insights on government priorities to inform decision-making processes.
- Facilitate the development and execution of stakeholder engagement plans supporting the strategy and change agenda.
- Oversee key engagement mechanisms, including chairing or participating in critical committees.

**Required Skills & Experience**

- Proven experience leading strategic engagement with government stakeholders or working with government clients.
- Expert knowledge of government processes, including Cabinet and Budget cycles, with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Strong relationship-building skills with senior government and internal stakeholders.
- Stakeholder relations expertise combined with business acumen to drive policy and strategy development.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills to foster collaboration and consensus.
