We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team.

About the Role

This role is responsible for processing invoices, claims, and staff reimbursements in accordance with our financial policies and payment terms. You will work closely with the broader finance, procurement, property, and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of enquiries, account accuracy, and excellent service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage AP transactions, ensuring compliance with SCC policies and procedures
  • Monitor and reconcile Promaster transactions and supplier statements
  • Assist with vendor setup, payment runs, and month-end activities
  • Enter and maintain accurate AP records in our finance system

You will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and ensuring records meet audit and compliance standards. Your ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment will be essential.

As an experienced Accounts Payable Officer, you will possess a strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate financial processing. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally across teams and with suppliers.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in accounts payable or finance support role
  • Understanding of AP processes and GST concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

While not essential, exposure to aged care, not-for-profit, or health sector environments would be advantageous. If you have experience working with financial systems and possess a certificate in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, your application will be even more compelling.
