About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Risk Management Specialist, L1 to join our Retail Banking Services (RBS) team. As a key member of the Wealth and Private (W&P) Domain, you will be responsible for supporting the guidance and investing, and wealth partnerships business in the development of risk strategies and procedures to ensure operation within risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of risk strategies and procedures to ensure operation within risk appetite
  • Identify, track, and monitor incidents/issues and facilitate timely resolution
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal/external business stakeholders and partners to effectively review, monitor, and manage the current and emerging risks of the portfolio
  • Protect customers by implementing initiatives to improve how risk decisions are made to promote the best customer outcome
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage deliverables across multiple products
  • Triage change initiatives and provide risk advisory

Requirements:

  • Substantive experience in operational risk and compliance
  • Proven experience in change management and delivering change initiatives
  • Ability to provide pragmatic and practical solutions to complex problems
  • Strong reasoning ability and negotiation and influencing skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • Passion for delivering better customer outcomes
