Drug and Alcohol Clinician Role

Welcome to a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of substance use treatment. As a Drug and Alcohol Clinician, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by substance use.

About the role:

  • You will work closely with clients to provide assessment and case management services that aim to improve their lifestyle and health.
  • You will engage with people who are before the court with a history of or current drug use.
  • You will provide assessment and case management as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help reduce re-offending.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, intensive case management, support, counselling and treatment to defendants with a drug and/or alcohol issue.
  • Liaise and work in partnership with government and non-government services, and community groups.
  • Demonstrate leadership within a diverse range of inpatient and/or outreach settings.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist.
  • Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership for relevant professional association.
