About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Workshop Manager to join our team at Mark McHugh Bodyworks, a leading provider of high-end vehicle repair services. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop and delivering exceptional results to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Safety and Security: Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and maintain a high level of site security.
  • Vehicle Processing: Process vehicles upon arrival, ensuring timely and efficient handling of repairs.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with the ordering and receipting of parts, paint, and consumables, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Repair Process Management: Manage the repair process to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality repairs are carried out, meeting customer expectations and productivity targets.
  • Production Management: Oversee the production of the site, ensuring efficient use of resources, meeting productivity targets, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Profitability and Customer Satisfaction: Assist in the management of the site to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Workshop Housekeeping: Oversee the maintenance of a clean and organized workshop, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar management role within the collision repair industry.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, set and adhere to deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and able to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to motivate, manage, and get the best out of a team, with a strong commitment to work in a safe manner.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Reliable, punctual, and hardworking, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
