About the Opportunity
The University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Psychologist to join our team in the School of Psychology. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for five years with a competitive salary package.
Job Summary
We are looking for a researcher who can contribute to our research effort in perinatal mental health and develop their expertise through the pursuit of defined projects. The successful candidate will work closely with lived experience collaborators to shape assessment and intervention tools and support the dissemination of research outcomes through academic publications and conference presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality academic research in perinatal mental health with minimal supervision
- Design, program, and run experimental psychology studies
- Undertake discipline-appropriate research activities, such as literature reviews, experimental research, data collection, and analyses
- Liaise with national and international collaborators to ensure project progression
- Supervise research students in the research area where required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD in Psychology (or equivalent) with a specialisation in experimental, clinical, or developmental psychology. You will also have demonstrated excellent data analytic skills, outstanding academic writing skills, and the ability to work in a team and collaborate across disciplines.
